Transcription factor imaging probes |

Reporters of gene transcription in cancer cells potentially could be used in both cancer phenotyping and staging, as well as for evaluating new therapies.
Recently, we developed novel oligonucleotide molecular reporters (ODMR) that release fluorescence signals upon the specific binding of transcription factor/regulator protein to ODMR encoded nucleotide sequence (Funded by NCI technology developement grant).
The future goals of our research:
1. optimization and characterization of the far-red fluorochrome labeled ODMRs 2. investigation of transcription-factor reporting properties.
